I can't help it... It's a guilty pleasure! Even in spite of how inaccurately the film depicted the tale of Renaissance Venetian courtesan Veronica Franco, I just love this monologue from the movie "Dangerous Beauty." Historical or not, it just seems to nicely sum up the story of her life...

I like that movie. The Cinecittà Venice is amazing, and Catherine McCormack is radiant.
It's unfortunate that there's only a bare-bones DVD of it available.
I would love to see someone make a film that's a more accurate depiction of her life...she certainly warrants it.
The monologue is fine, though...isn't it?
