Every summer, the city puts together a special schedule chocked full of films shown at theaters in Venice, the Lido, on the mainland in Mestre, and--best of all--at an open-air cinema they put up every year in Campo San Polo just for the occasion. This year, the season opens there with "The Merchant of Venice" and concludes with the Venice Film Festival. How perfect is that?! Here's the rest of the schedule (in pdf) for Summer 2005!
